The employment regulation of Americans abroad and in foreign owned businesses in the U.S
Article Abstract:
The Civil Rights Act of 1991 remedied an inequity in the 1964 law by stating that that law and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 apply to Americans employed abroad in US companies. This will make it easier for women and other minorities to advance in their corporations by doing the expected stint abroad. The Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Navigation tried to stabilize foreign investment opportunities by leaving hiring decisions regarding management and technical personnel up to the company, but this has in some cases led to discrimination against white US males.

The legal issues surrounding religious discrimination in the workplace
Article Abstract:
Employers need to be aware of religious discrimination laws and to accommodate employee religious beliefs in accordance with the law. Such accommodation can extend to grooming and dress codes and need for alternative work schedules. Religious harassment is always prohibited. Only religious institutions and jobs where religion is a qualification for the job are exempt from these laws. Employers should have a grievance system in place which can deal with religious discrimination complaints as well as documenting why accommodation requests going unmet were deemed unreasonable.
