What corporate social responsibility means to me
Article Abstract:
Lodwrick M. Cook, the CEO of Atlantic Richfield Co (ARCO), feels that corporate social responsibility means making a difference in areas the company understands, that the scope of these efforts and ARCO's financial health are intimately connected and that ARCO cannot support a cause antithetical to its interests. John F. Welch, Jr, CEO of General Electric Co (GE), feels that social responsibility for his company means a concern with education.

The education of American business
Article Abstract:
Americans are suffering the stresses of a lengthy recession, growing numbers of unskilled laborers, rapidly increasing medical costs and increased drug abuse. At a time like this, business must involve itself in the community, which is exactly what Pitney Bowes is attempting to do. The company is committed to the support of education and have contributed financial and human support towards this goal.
