What works

Article Abstract:

Labor law reform in the US should aim to reduce regulations that make it difficult to start or maintain enterprises as well as lower taxes to free capital for productive investments. Such reforms would benefit smaller, mostly nonunion enterprises that create most new jobs. Under such conditions, the country will be productive enough for less-skilled or less-educated workers to trade their labor for more goods and services.

Regulatory rollback: twelve targets

Article Abstract:

Congress is tackling Republican proposals to limit abuses arising from government regulation of businesses. However, the proposals are a mild version of the originals contained in the Republican's Contract with America. Congress is also deliberating on a 180-day moratorium on new regulations and a requirement that gives it the power to veto new regulations made by executive departments.
