Article Abstract:

Various judges offer trial lawyers advice on lining up both judge and jury on the lawyer's side. Much of the advice is psycholoigcal, being respectful to other lawyers, showing interest in the client's cause, and proper etiquette towards other lawyers. Remaining aware of the socioeconomic status of the jury is also important.

The article describes the new legal specialty of litigating for condominium owners regarding the problems encountered with their homeowners' associations, which have broad authority to enforce equitable servitudes controlling the property, and, to some degree, members' conduct. The author discusses the help provided such owners by the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988.
