An economic analysis of the receiver pays principle
Article Abstract:
An investigation is conducted into the principle of receiver pays (RPP), specifically the effect of this on social welfare, interconnection charge and calling price. One of the problems with this principle is that the receiver may refuse to take a call if the charge incurred is high.
