Budget proposal
Article Abstract:
The proposed budget for the coming fiscal year may mean that the media companies will have to work on tight budgets, due to the volatile nature of the journalism industry. The Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) is, however, not going to cutback on its budget and intends in launching some of the ambitious projects and developing new approaches.

The goals and accomplishments are presented for the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting, a division of the Investigative Reporters and Editors organization. These include establishing a similar institution for journalists in Mexico, creating workshops that offer database research training, and plans for funding endowments.
