Court finds prosecutor's right to cross-examine can trump reporter's privilege
Article Abstract:
Fost v. Superior Court, a California appellate court ruling vacating a contempt order against a journalist for refusal to answer a prosecutor's questions during a murder trial, is discussed. The court noted that a contempt finding of a reporter who was a defense witness would be proper.

Court won't review contempt order over murder subpoena
Article Abstract:
The Superior Court ruling of California v. Henderson is discussed, which threatened to jail and hold in contempt of court a reporter refusing to comply with a subpoena of an alleged murderer's prison interview with him.
