DHS solicits anti-missile technology
Article Abstract:
The Department of Homeland Security is scheduled to hold an all-day briefing for companies interested in contracts to build systems designed to defeat heat-seeking anti-aircraft missiles. The department received $60 in the 2004 fiscal budget to conduct an 18-month long study into developing such technology, and to determine its effectiveness against Man-Portable Air Defense Systems.
