Stratfor, an Austin, Texas-based private intelligence firm has suggested that Iraqi Governing Council official Ahmad Chalabi's Iranian connection could have led him to provide flawed intelligence on Iraq before the U.S.-led invasion. Various aspects of his relationship with Iran resulting in the U.S. dependence on the Shia have been highlighted.
