Space newspeak or kill the countdown!
Article Abstract:
The terminology used in space exploration is outdated and should be replaced by more relevant terminology. Most space-related terms are carried over from an era when launching a rocket was likened to firing an artillery shell. The new terminology should instead be akin to that used in aeronautics.
