Backing the future

Article Abstract:

Bournemouth Media School head and Audio-visual Industries Training Group (AVITG) chairman Roger Laughton's audio-visual training report, 'Skills For Tomorrow's Media', is supported by statistics from an industry census taken by AVITG. The census found that people coming into the television industry are limited to those who can afford to self-finance due to low wages in entry level positions and that the industry lacks a professional structure that attracts new entries.
