Blue moves onn high-end commercials

Article Abstract:

Blue, a broadcast and long-form post production facility based in Old Compton Street in UK, is planning a $1-million-pound-sterling expansion into higher-end commercials market that will involve the development of a floor dedicated to commercials. As part of the effort, Blue's engineering facility, which the company shares with sisters firms The Machine Room and VTR, will transfer to a facility in Dean Street. The vacated space will be developed into a commercials floor based around either Editbox Magnum from Quantel or Flame from Discreet Logic, combined with digital online suite Avid offline and probably an additional audio suite. The development is expected to be finished by March 1999.
