City takes heart from digital listening surge

Article Abstract:

The increase in digital radio listening recorded in the Rajars (Radio Joint Audience Research Limited survey) is a good sign for the commercial radio broadcasters as they look to increase market share and revenues. One-eighth of total radio listening in the UK is through digital radio, with 7% tuned in via DAB (digital audio broadcasting), 2.6% via DTV (digital television), and 1.5% via the Internet.

Upbeat results lead Blinkx to staff up
