The controversy about salmon hatcheries
Article Abstract:
A different perspective on artificial propagation and the literature pertaining to the component of fisheries science is presented to give a balance to the discussion on hatchery fish. Excess hatchery fish from the local population should not be prevented from spawning in the wild and contributing to the wild segment of the population.
