Dunne joins Atlantic 252 and plans programming revamp

Article Abstract:

Atlantic 252, which is owned by CLT, has named MTV head of music David Dunne as programme director beginning October 1998 to succeed Al Dunne, who left the radio station to become chief executive of Ireland Digital Courier. David Dunne, who first joined Atlantic 252 in a part-time capacity to host the new dance programme "bmp," will take charge in repositioning the radio station to attract 15 to 24-year-olds with the introduction of new shows as well as changes in program schedules. Travis Baxter, managing director of Atlantic 252 is confident that Dunne would be successful in realigning the radio station to the youth market.

New boss at Red Dragon

Article Abstract:

Red Dragon Radio of Cardiff, UK, is appointing Beverley Cleall-Harding to become its station director. Cleall-Harding, who will takeover the relinquished position held by former managing director Phillip Roberts, will be assigned to manage Red Dragon's two stations Red Dragon FM and Touch Radio, Red Dragon's AM counterpart. Roberts has opted to join former Red Dragon owner Emap Radio as managing director of Magic 1152 and Metro FM. Red Dragon, which was purchased by Capitol Radio in July 1998, also appointed Andy Johnson to become its new program controller replacing Mark Franklin.
