Edinburg is worth the trip

Article Abstract:

The choice for broadcast executives in August is always whether to attend the Edinburgh Festival or do something else. The Festival this year has a eback-to-basicsE theme. The MacTaggart lecture will be delivered by John Humphrys, an on-air presenter, as opposed to the practice of an industry bigwig, which in itself is an attraction.

A critical view of the lofty objective being attributed to the Edinburgh International Television Festival is presented. The festival will discuss whether death, sex and cosmetic surgery on television programs have crossed the boundaries of sane acceptance.
