Extraordinary People to go beyond shock doc appeal
Article Abstract:
Five's flagship strand, Extraordinary People, is moving away from its usual presentation of documentaries with seven new commissioned episodes that would feature broader issues on lives of different people. The series will air in September and October 2007. The programme's editor, Sue Davidson, said that people recognize Extraordinary People as a programme that stands for striking human interest stories, but that the show would like to expand into other areas that are equally appealing, which go beyond the scope of science genre.
