Grade: longer running drama series are key

Article Abstract:

Independent Television (ITV) executive chairman Michael Grade is looking for returning series that could run for 14-16 weeks a year for three to five years as an attempt to revive 9pm drama. ITV operating profits for the first six months of 2007 are presented, showing that earnings fell lower than expected, but that signs of recovery are showing. Strategic review at ITV is being conducted and more detailed plans will be affirmed on September 12.
