ITV beats share drop with hopes for CRR

ITV's share price rose 2.2% for the week to 106.4 pounds sterling on the back of expectations of favorable changes in the contract rights renewal process towards the end of 2007. Seventeen out of twenty media stocks monitored by Broadcast registered a decline over the week, however.

RDF lifted by ITV's vote of confidence

ITV has announced that it is planning to lift the temporary suspension on new commissions, helping RDF Media's shares go up 5.4%. The share price of Blinkx, meanwhile, increased by 3.8% to close at 34p. A table showing the stock values of media companies is also provided.

Market positive over ITV strategy update
