Industry poll - does Sky's set top box offering make sense?

Article Abstract:

With the introduction of Sky's new offering to consumers, the purchase of additional set-top boxes for the price of 215 pounds sterling, along with monthly charges of 12 pounds sterling in order to convert second and third analogue TVs at home to digital, the offering is questionable. Allan Williams, the Consumer Association's senior policy advisor, Jerry Roest, NTL's group meeting director, and Phil Swain, Dechiper's head of practice, are all asked their opinions on the new service.

Sky rivals to vie for games

European Commission (EC) has asked BSkyB to sell some or all of the Premier Football games and BBC, ITV, Five are vying for it. The EC' s decisions welcomed since it creates opportunities for others and free-to -air broadcasters.
