Article Abstract:

Granada Media chairman Charles Allen is warning of a European media company takeover and the major bidders so far seem to be Italy's Mediaset, France's Vivendi and TF1, and the U. K.'s RTL Group. Allen feels that Granada is seeing declining finances because of delayed communications legislation, and a European takeover is fully possible within European Union legislation, adhering to monopoly restrictions set by the Office of Fair Trading.
