Soap swap will strengthen ITV1 weeknight share

Article Abstract:

ITV1 ushered in a revamped program schedule for 2008, the biggest surprise of which is the removal of soap operas from Sunday night. In 2007, the channel's primetime Sunday night audience share is down to 28%, compared with 31% in 2006. How ITV1's new strategy will affect its ratings, as well as the ratings of other TV shows, is discussed.
