Sofa, so good for ITV1's rival to Richard and Judy

Article Abstract:

The weekly ratings of the channels yielded some interesting winners with ITV1's 'Paul O'Grady Show' launched opposite the popular Channel 4's 'Richard & Judy'. The first few days show average weekly viewership figures of 1.83 million for the Channel 4 show while Paul O'Grady clocked 1.7 million. BBC1 remained on top spot on five Saturdays out of seven.

Five takes the multichannel plunge

Five television's entry in to multichannel market showed mixed results in terms of market shares. Five's channels received tough competition from Independent Television and British Broadcasting Corporation.
