Article Abstract:

The many types of digital versatile discs (DVD) now available are expected to revolutionize the audio-visual industry and possibly replace the compact disc player. DVD Audio will offer high-quality sampling and up to six channels for surround sound audio at 96 kHz, and Sony's PlayStation 2 is expected to be the biggest selling console for watching DVD movies.
