Interactive television has started off slow in the US, however it is predicted that the number of US users will increase more than tenfold in the next five years to over 60 million and that revenues will grow to $24.9 billion. Though it is not clear how the untapped market of the interactive industry in the US will develop or who will profit the most, the cooperation of cable and satellite operators will dictate the rate of development, as they will have to design advanced digital set-top boxes and other technology
