BBC wins fight to film therapy show

BBC documentaries and history unit, in cooperation with BBC Education, is filming a a 5 x 40-minute series on psychotherapy at the Tavistock Centre for BBC 2. The series, which will be screened starting autumn of 1999, will concentrate on one case study over a period of time and provisional subjects that may be included in the finished series cover families with an ill parent, autism, psychotherapeutic analysis of the workplace and trauma. Majority of the scenes will be filmed in autumn of 1998, with editing to be conducted in January 1999.

HTV launches English language soap opera
Article Abstract:
HTV Wales is developing a new television soap opera program to be titled Nuts and Bolts. The new soap opera, which is part of HTV's plan to expand its drama production to 20 hours per year of English drama from 10 hours, will be based in South Wales, UK, and will be about the conflicts between the urban and rural life, and classes. Production of the first ten episodes is scheduled in March 1999 while transmission is scheduled by autumn 1999 in the ITV Wales region. HTV already assigned six new writers to write the scripts.
