Efficient intra-household allocations: a general characterization and empirical tests
Article Abstract:
A contextualization of the neoclassical theory of demand in terms of its applicability to households showed that the optimality of decision outcomes must satisfy symmetry and rank conditions on the Slutsky matrix to qualify for optimality. This is shown in the results where symmetry conditions and income pooling qualifications can be rejected or accepted based on the number of persons in the household. But the collective setting condition can be useful in the analysis of household behavior in a number of economic models.

A simple axiomatization of nonadditive expected utility
Article Abstract:
Savage's theory of subjective expected utility for decision-making under uncertain conditions is extended to include both ambiguous and unambiguous events wherein probabilities are nonadditive and additive, respectively. Cumulative dominance adapting stochastic dominance is the main axiom. Choquet expected utility is derived, showing classical expected utility as a result of cumulative dominance modification. The study represents a combination of Schmeidler's (1989) and Gilboa's (1987) analyses.

An efficient method of moments estimator for discrete choice models with choice-based sampling
Article Abstract:
An estimator for discrete choice models with choice-based sampling is presented. The estimator is effective and can access information on marginal choice probabilities directly. The ability to provide direct information provides a more appealing method of computational and intuitive measurement. The estimator can be applied to parameters of explanatory variable distributions to remove parameter dependence.
