Estimation of a change point in multiple regression models
Article Abstract:
Consistency, rate of convergence and asymptomatic distributions are established from studying the change-point problem in multiple regressions computed by the least-squares method. Results obtained is applicable for a wide range of regressors including deterministic and stochastic regressors, lagged dependent variables and time trend. A skewed and parameter-embedded analytical density function and a cumulative distribution function for the asymptomatic distribution of the change-point estimator obtained symmetric distribution as a special case that is useful for creating confidence intervals for the true break.

The effect of taxes on investment and income shifting to Puerto Rico
Article Abstract:
Puerto Rico's tax regulation involving real investment proved to be advantageous to its investment climate. Utilization of a structural econometric model showed that Puerto Rico's decision not to impose tax on the income of Puerto Rican affiliates of US firms serves as a major reason why several American firms invest in the territory. Such regulation creates income shifting advantages for US investments.
