Fundamental symmetries and qualitative properties in the adjustment cost model of the firm
Article Abstract:
A new set of qualitative properties for the multiple input/multiple output adjustment cost model is derived using the dynamic primal-dual method. The model is characterized by an integral symmetric negative semi-definite matrix. An analysis of the model shows the effects of parameter changes on supply functions, capital stock demand functions and investment demand functions. The dynamic envelope results complement the static profit maximization and comparative dynamics theories.

Pricing and financial resources: an analysis of the disk drive industry, 1980-88
Article Abstract:
Pricing behavior was analyzed for the disk drive industry from 1980-88. Aggressive pricing marked companies from 1984-88 when financing was tight and firms were close to being characterized as undiversified producers with minimal capital base. The aggressive behavior was attributed to the inability of disk drive producers that were close to their highly efficient counterparts to increase capital through regressions.

Cost sharing: the nondifferentiable case
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to demonstrate a price mechanism on the class of cost functions which are convex or piecewise linear, that meets five standard axioms. The cost functions are significant, with all minimal factor cost functions being convex and in many applications piecewise linear.
