Article Abstract:

The trial of two Libyan agents, in connection with the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, has concluded with one conviction and one acquittal. More importantly, however, the trial did not offer any guidelines as to the best methods of dealing with future terrorist activities.

Islamic trial possible option for bin Laden

Article Abstract:

General Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan has reported that the Taliban militia in Pakistan may turn over suspected terrorist Osama bin Laden, if he is given an Islamic trial. Supposedly, such a trial would involve three judges from Islamic countries.

Europe's terror trials point finger at Libya

Article Abstract:

The Lockerbie, Scotland, trial did not seem to directly implicate Libya in the 1998 airline bombing, but other European terrorist trials are exposing links to that country's security forces. Specific cases are discussed.
