Abu Dhabi Ship Building launches expansion plan
Article Abstract:
Abu Dhabi Ship Building of United Arab Emirates will launch a major expansion of the shipyard at its current site in Mussafah. The proposed expansion would boost vessel lifting and launching capacity to more than 2000 tons from the present limit of 500 tons. The upgrade would also enable Abu Dhabi Ship Building to construct and repair vessels up to 85 meters to 100 meters in length. The $50-million expansion program is slated to be finished by mid-2001.
