Article Abstract:

The efficacy of air defense (AD) system depends on the inclusion of surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) and gun systems in the air defense network optimized for different engagement conditions of which the best medium range surface to air missile systems the BUK-M1 and BUK-M1-2 SAM systems provide a reliable sky shield. The BUK-M1 is an land mobile air defense system designed to engage fast and highly maneuverable combat aircraft and cruise missiles employed in massive air attack intensive and the BUK M1-2 is used for air defense, anti missile and coastal defense applications.

Eurockot: German-Russian partnership in space-launch operations

Article Abstract:

Eurockot is a rocket launch service provider that was formed by DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG (DASA) of Germany and Khrunichev State Research and Production Center in 1995. Under the partnership, DASA provides financing, management and technical support. Khrunichev provides the launch vehicles and services, including the industrial implementation of the Rockot program, which involves the conversion of intercontinental ballistic missiles into a commercial launcher configuration.

The Russian aerospace scenario comprises of different types of export versions of the Su-30, and Ka-31, which forms the basis of the Russian arms export. The Su-30 is capable of combating missions at significant distances from the home base, both day and night and in any weather conditions and Ka-31 provides quick efficient information for the armed forces ensuring constant surveillance.
