Asian Aerospace 2000

Article Abstract:

The Asian Aerospace 2000, held at Singapore's Changi Exhibition Center from Feb 22 to 27, was very successful, according to its organizers. The event was attended by 950 exhibitors from 30 countries. Although these figures are a drop from last year's record numbers of 1,070 firms from 33 countires, there were more giant companies than small ones. There were also over 18,000 professional trade visitors at the show.

The crowds at the Aero India 2001 in Bangalore rejoiced when the prototype of the LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) appeared, demonstrating the country's world-power status. The show attracted many important exhibitors in the world's aerospace and defense industry.
