Back to sub hunting

Article Abstract:

The P-3 Orion fleet mission is being centered back to the maritime surveillance and anti-submarine warfare on the request of the U.S. Central Command that needed surveillance on the ground for operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. However, John Nathman, head of warfare requirements and assessments for the Navy feels that the P-3s are being overused and so the Navy must cut down the extra missions and prepare for proper and eligible successors.
