Raytheon's JSOW hammers targets in Iraq
Article Abstract:
Raytheon Co's AGM-154A joint standoff weapon (JSOW) was touted by Navy officials after its successful deployment on air strikes against Iraq. The precision-guided standoff glide bombs were reported to have performed flawlessly when they were used as a response to new provocations by the Iraqis. Aboard the Navy F/A-18C Hornet strike fighters, the JSOWs attacked targets, which in the past would have required a strike group of 25 to 30 aircraft.
