Detlef Moog president Rheinmetall weapons & munitions

Article Abstract:

Rheinmetall Weapons and Munitions pres Detlef Moog discussed his firm's cooperative activities with US defense and munitions firms. Moog said they are competing for Joint Strike Fighter's cannon as a part of a team led by Boeing. Rheinmetall has sent L55 barrels to be tested on US Abrams M1 tanks. Moog said they are much in favor of transatlantic dialogue on the development of mutual military programs.

Article Abstract:

European armies are starting to move from tracked to wheeled artillery. Germany's Panzerhaubitze (PzH 2000) howitzer is the closest thing the Europeans have to standard, self-propelled, armored artillery.
