German armed forces organization gears up for expanded deployed operations capability

Article Abstract:

The German armed forces organization has set itself the goal of supporting up to five world-wide deployments involving a total of up to 15,000 deployed personnel. Brigadier General Reinhardt Kammerer, chief of the Operations and Concepts Division of the German Army Staff, noted that at the end of April 2006, the number of service personnel deployed was 7,050, including 4,300 from the German Army.
