Article Abstract:
An excerpt of an article by a battalion commander of a predawn attack by Echo Company on Dai Do followed by Hotel Company Attack on Dinh To, on 2 May 1968 is presented. The mission was achieved against great odds. The story illustrates that outstanding artillery and naval gunfire (NGF) support plays a major role for achieving success.

A pilot in the all-weather squadron of the Marine Corps describes a night flight in which he lost all the electrical power in the cockpit, and took a chance trying to land on the airport runway. The pilot credits his radar operator with the safe landing.
