No more brownouts: Dust abatement in support of tactical helicopter operations
Article Abstract:
The elimination of dangerous brownout conditions was very essential during the Operation Iraqi Freedom in order to prevent the loss of life and aircraft. The Tri-Pam solution was tested and found to perform effectively as a dust treatment for helicopter landing zones in Iraq.

The success in the operation Iraqi freedom was based on the employment of the maritime prepositioning force (MPF) equipment. A record of items to be considered during future planning and employment of an MPF ground combat element is presented.
