Patria positions AMVs as solution to the demand for wheeled armoured vehicles

Article Abstract:

The current worldwide requirement for eight-wheeled armoured vehicles is being fulfilled by the Finnish Patria Vehicles Company's new Armoured Modular Vehicles (AMVs). According to the need of the Portuguese Army, another heavy weapon system with a 105 mm tank gun can be mounted on the AMV chassis.

CV90 trials rubber tracks, Soucy demonstrates conversion between band and links on M113

Article Abstract:

The testing of band tracks made by Canadian company Soucy International on the Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) indicates a move towards the use of rubber band tracks by armored vehicles instead of traditional metallic link tracks. Soucy has also demonstrated the possibility of a conversion of an armored vehicle from running on link tracks to band tracks and vice versa with the US-built M113 armored personnel carriers (APC).
