Rethinking naval forward presence
Article Abstract:
The Navy has put forward many initiatives to be relevant for the global war on terrorism. The Navy established the Naval Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), which guides on explosive ordnance disposal, logistic support, the expeditionary security force, naval coastal warfare, mobile diving and salvage.
