Smart procurement - Reinvigorate of replace?
Article Abstract:
The UK defence smart procurement is highly controversial and the achievements of the Ministry of Defence staff and industry engaged in supplying to the UK Armed Forces are questionable, compounded by the budget reduction. However, it is essential that the UK's Armed Services are not to lose any more of their capabilities in future years and vital in keeping the UK's defence industrial base competitive and at the forefront of technology.

Northrop Grumman combat UAV is set for flight in 2007
Article Abstract:
Northrop Grumman is awarded a $1.04 billion contract for the demonstration and operational assessment of its X-47B designs for the joint Unmanned Combat Air System (J-UCAS). The company would build and test three X-47B unmanned aircraft, which is expected to begin in 2007, as well as associated mission-control stations and logistics support systems.
