Article Abstract:
The initiatives taken by both the sides of the Atlantic to improve the connectivity, bandwidth and data rate of submarines so that they can play their full part in an increasingly networked battlespace are discussed. The US Navy (USN) submarine force and its transatlantic counterparts in the UK Royal Navy (RN) have described that their research laboratories are investigating technical solutions that might meet the broadest range of submarine connectivity requirements.
