Special gear to Go
Article Abstract:
The special gear utilized by special operations forces has rapidly developed into integrated systems that suit the need of users in terms of tactical requirements, operability under extended operations and comfort. Scientists within the US Army are studying ways to better redistribute weight off the shoulders and provide soldiers with sufficient space for packing ammunitions and water. The US Army's All Purpose, LightweightLoad Carrying Equipment (Alice), as a result, is being substituted with the Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment (Molle) gear.
