Sulawesi bombings continue lethal pattern
Article Abstract:
Two bombings in Central Sulawesi in Indonesia on May 28, 2005, have highlighted the resurgence of communal conflict in the region and they continue a pattern of sporadic killings suggesting entrenchment of wider Islamist terrorist or sectarian insurgent groups in the region. Tentena and recent bombings indicate that the Jemaah Islamiyya (JI) groups are still active in Central Sulawesi and are becoming increasingly willing to use violence to achieve their objectives.
