Thales SWARM Remote Weapon System

Article Abstract:

The Thales SWARM Remote Weapon System (RWS), ordered by the UK, is selected for the US Marine Corps Gladiator--Tactical Unmanned Ground Vehicle (TUGV) program. Its main function is to improve effectiveness in combat and fire support role and when fitted with a 12.7mm Heavy Machine Gun (HMG), it is suited for installation on Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), Command Post (CP) and a variety of other Carrier/Support vehicles.

USTransCom: Support for the global war on terrorism

Article Abstract:

The main aim of the United States Transportation Command (USTransCom) is to provide the Marine Corps with a synchronized transportation, distribution and sustainment that enable them to project the nation's military strength. The Secretary of Defense has given USTransCom control of all strategic transportation assets during peacetime to simplify the transition to wartime support.
