Article Abstract:

Aug 8, 2000, will mark the decade-long presence of the US Air Force (USAF) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Aside from its major impact on scarce USAF resources, the decade-long deployment has also resulted in the highest combat-readiness level of the air service in peacetime.
