MV-22, Osprey or Edsel? Is the Osprey 'too much' aircraft?

The MV-22 Osprey is a difficult aircraft to fly, even for experienced pilots. Its continued use should be considered carefully, based on the safety of crew members, and the experience and training of the crew, and whether safety modifications are needed.

Tiltrotor advantages to assault support: the Osprey will provide a greatly enhanced operational capability

Article Abstract:

An analysis of four operations in which the V-22 Osprey could possibly have changed the outcome of the operations is presented. The use of tiltrotor aircraft would have sped up the operations and possibly made them more successful.
