The axe men cometh
Article Abstract:
Heavy metal music has often been spurned by mainstream record companies and has been the subject of a great deal of satire. However, Metallica has seen its four existing albums spend a total of 1,000 weeks in the US charts, and is soon to release a new album, entitled 'Load.' The group's US record company believes that this will appeal to alternative radio stations, which have traditionally not played heavy metal music. The group has adopted a new image, showing its willingness to accept cultural changes.
