In-wall speakers are becoming increasingly popular because many users prefer no to see them. They also take up less space. Niles new AT (Advanced Technology) line of speakers are more expensive than most in-wall speakers, but they are designed to overcome installation and performance problems. The AT8000 has everything except a cabinet and may be angled 15 degrees in any direction. He has switches for bass, midrange and treble.

The SUBWOOFER THAT SHOOK THE WORLD!

Subwoofers are speakers that provide bass sounds. One audiophile custom designed his own subwoofer that was so powerful, it had to mounted in the basement to contain its size and volume. His test of the system made his dishes rattle and his windows buckle. Also, regular use of the system caused the cabinet screws to loosen. Nonetheless, he is happy to achieved his 120-dB goal with the ultimate subwoofer.

The price and performance of four do-it-yourself subwoofer systems that can be added to custom systems are provided. The systems outperform commercially available systems and provide good return. The systems range in price from $550 to $3,000 and provide higher frequency response than commercially available systems.
